Greetings to all...

I'm currently a VERY VERY proud and contented new owner of a Bessa R and R2A.

I love them to bits and cuddle them every night.

Hence, for their protection, anyone have suggestions as to what leather cases would fit these 2 cameras, the kind that comes with a strap for u to sling around your neck.

Also, do they have leather cases for these cameras that would fit when the WINDER is attached onto the body?

If any kind soul could tell me where to find them, and the approx cost, i would be ever so grateful.

Thanks.
😀

Well, I have the Voigtlander everyready case that's made for the R, and I really like it. No one loves their R more than I 🙂 and I happily trust mine to this case as I carry it every day. I think mine was $35 at Photovillage.com. Can't advise about the winder question.
Good luck,
KZ

Not exactly leather...

Not exactly leather...

The "factory" everready case from Cosina is not made of leather but "leatherette" - exactly the same kind of material used by Nikon. The surface will, in time, deteriorate into paper-like shreds, just like my FM's case. It doesn't come with a strap either.

However , the price is good. I got one for my - ahem- M6TTL, before getting the "real thing" made of genuine leather for a reasonable cost. Still using the "cheap one."

Perhaps things like saddle soap can maintain the leatherette. Haven't tried it though.

Luigi's version is nice but too thick for me, in both dimension and price. 😛

Here are a couple of links to leather suppliers. I've made a couple of little projects from leather lately and the next will probably be a leather camera case like those mentioned on ebay. It really isn't as difficult as you may think...just takes a little time with a big needle and some waxed thread.
