I stumbled upon a direlic public housing. An old lady that I met told me that the place was built some 40 years ago. From what it is now, many families had moved out and only a few family continued to stay on. The home is where the heart is, maybe that's why they choose to stay.

This reminds me the story of the Beira's Grand Hotel, in Mozambique. Once the pearl of the colonial Beira city became during war time a city itself, sheltering hundreds of refugee families.
