Those colours are sublime.
That's what stood out to me when I first saw the picture. The colors just say old oil painting of someone important.
I have to jump in and say it's not just the crew and all, it's how she can direct her subjects, perhaps control, maybe lead. I look at her as a combination of maestro and soloist.
She delivers memories very well.

Vincenzo.
The gearheaded part of me wants to know what gear she used. Not because I think I could take the same pictures with it, just interested.
Not too long ago she did a front page shoot with the Game of Thrones actors and she was using a Hasselblad H series with a 50-110mm lens and a phase back.
I would be more interested in her PP guy, watching him work that Photoshop.

It's a bit Thomas Kinkade for my tastes. regardless of the subject matter.

what?
I'm thinking that the Queen prompted Annie L. for a classic, rather than an edgy-kinky, look and feel to the photo.

She had a sister-in-law - also in blue.

Yes, she was last year in The Hague. It was very nice seeing her again, but somehow I prefer her sister-in-law.

It would sure take a long time to sign the papers for a home/condo, automobile with a long name like that! Ha!
Bill are you sure we are ready to contemplate the prospect of Josephine Eleonore-Marie Pauline de Galard de Brassac de Bearn, Princesse de Broglie descending the steps of a Winnebago?

Very clever, complex, and layered photos there by Ms Leibovitz...

The best camera is one that still works!
I think they're great ... and Annie has done exactly what was required in the situation considering the subject material. I was surprised to see the young boy with his hands in his pockets though ... especially considering the Queen's known penchant for protocol.
