I got one of these at a local shop. It's in great shape except for the some junk on the rear of the front element. It was easy to separate the optical & focusing sections as well as the rear element from the optical section. I can't see how to disassemble the optical group further to access the back of the front element. Anyone have insight?

Try a rubber Cork (tool) around the front namering. Some name rings did not have spanner slots.
I know that works on the collapsible 9cm F4 Elmar.

The optical bloc can be dismantled without particular problems.
But I wonder if somebody would have any experience to share about the helicoid ?

I'd say you're correct but I'm not having any luck getting it out. I actually had to use a pair of strap wrenches to separate the focus & optical groups so this ring might be seized too much to budge with only a friction contact.

Your Hektor could be put together like my Elmar 90/4. Looking at photos it appears that the Hektor's construction is essentially the same. Tomosy's inadequate descriptions for taking apart these lenses are almost identical, not that I can make complete sense of them.

Anyway, my Elmar's front group comes off as a unit. The aperture scale does not turn with the group. Having the group off provides access to the aperture bits.

Instead of going for the name ring, try turning the entire front group out by gripping the outside diameter where the cap goes.
