A show of hands to see who carries their Leica with them everywhere they go. Are you glad that you do, ever since you got that shot that convinced you never to leave your camera behind again? Describe it, post it.

I carry my iiia everywhere. Not for any profound reasons, it just makes me feel cool and I hardly have any time to take specifically photos with work & al.

What Kully said - I'm never without my IIIa, but just don't get the time to use it enough due to work interfering with my ideal lifestyle ;)

I travel all over the US for work so I throw my M7 35 & 50 crons in my little Domke for all my trips. I usually get three or four interesting frames per trip. When I don't bring it is (of course) when the once in a lifetime shot presents itself.

I have a M4 with a collapsible 50 Summicron on me at (almost) all times. If I have my bag I usually have a 35 Summicron in there too.

I'm looking at my M2 on my desk at work as I write this. Took a few shots of the sunrise on my way to work today. Can't really use it at work (hospital) but like to have it with me anyway. Maybe I'm sick:rolleyes:

Oh, and I don't sleep with it,..... it stays on my nightstand!

Not quite 24/7. I don't sleep with it, that would be weird
Or take a shower with it, or some other "stuff" ;)

I guess it's not 24/7 for me either. :( Maybe "with me most of the time". :)

It's not always a Leica, but I almost always have a camera w/me when I'm walking around, running errands, etc. Like Kully wrote, between work & everything, I usually don't have a lot of time to just shoot, so I end up multi-tasking.

E.g., I took this shot while walking back to the office from lunch:

And this while 1 returning from a trip to the grocery store:

Wonderful shot. We hope it was a leica, but believe it or not - I can't tell from here. :)

Everytime, everywhere. If it isn't the Leica, I have some other camera with me. But it's often the Leica. In fact it's the very reason I switched to Rangefinders. Because I carry a camera with me everywhere, they are so much more convenient.

Thank you

Thank you

I didn't mean that time away from your camera was bad... or 24/7 all or nothing. If you gotta put it down for a minute that's OK. No hurry just wondering.;)

I always have a camera with me when I leave the house for work, errands, or visiting. Right now at work, I've got a Rolleicord, a Bessa R2, and a digi cam all in my briefcase. Leicas get used more on weekends when photography is more likely.

I've always got a camera in one of my pockets somewhere ( big coats only for me!) I used to carry a Fuji E900 for a while as I thought it was just the job for a pocket...it wasn't and so I'm here at RFF with a contax G1.Embarrassingly, I've been carrying my swanky new ( to me ) M6 around with me in one of my pockets...without a lens!!! Still waiting for my first lens :-(

I got my M-Classic bag with 2 MPs on my shoulder most of the time I go out and never, never travel whit out them! Of course at work they are just beside me, that's not very hard because I work from home.
