I"m thinking of selling my 20mm f1.7 for this lens but I do not know much about it. I assume that it is of good quality, but is there an image thread?

If not, then can I see some people portraits?

Honestly, I like my 20mm f1.7 but sometimes I think I might prefer 25mm f1.4 but I'm unsure if it is worth the upgrade. My upgrade is primarily for the FL. The 25mm is obviously a tiny bit faster (probably insignificantly with digital) with an arguably "better" focal length but at the expense of size and speed.

I have both. The 25mm is preferred. Both are sharp. The 20mm is a moderate wide angle. Vertical portraits don't look good to me with the 20mm. Get the 25mm and keep the 20mm.

I have an OM-D. I have never tried the 20mm. The 25mm is on my OM-D about 80 percent of the time. It is as good a 50mm equivalent lens as any I own; and I have way too many of those. It focuses very quickly, even in low light. I was talked into buying it on my way to saving up for the Panasonic 12-35mm zoom, and haven't looked back (although I'm still lacking a fast weatherproof lens).

I was thinking of doing the same a few months back & bookmarked this: http://www.daisukiphoto.com/2012/09/50mm-bokeh-dof-test-panasonic-leica.html
...It might be of interest to you.

Thanks!

What did you do? I was thinking of even going Fuji but the rendering of these images look too similar for me to change systems. I might stay with M43 because it is cheaper, meets all of my requirements, and I am already into the system (well with only one camera/lens). The main difference, to me, seems to be the bodies.

I got to use the 25mm for a few days earlier this year, and although it could be thought to out-perform the 20mm in almost every way, I didn't end up buying it as I preferred the 20mm FOV (actually 18mm I think - I see it as 35ish).
But if you're after a 50mm equivalent lens & aren't concerned about the bigger size, then go for it. By the way, it felt well-balanced on my GF1...
Good luck!

I took this with my OM-D on a cold February night. Wide-open at F1.4.

I was in the same boat. I had a EP1 and the 20 1.7 and thought hard about changing to fuji. In the end I decided one lousey body and a single lens were not enough to keep me with m43. I am waiting on a XE1 now. The fuji system just seems a more focused photographic tool than the Olympus and Panasonic bodies and that was important in my choice to switch. Though I may be loosing access to a more diversified range of lenses I find the ones I usually use (equivalent to ~15, 21, 50) are all there so its no real loss and I benifit from a larger sensor. Not a bad trade off.

That said back in the day I used the pana/leica 25 and it was a fine lens and worth the upgrade if you desire it.
