I took a roadtrip traveling south to Memphis, I didn't use my Leica CL as much as I would have liked because I took my 5D2 with me. I do love using this camera but without a working meter and a fading center focus it's very difficult to use with successful results. Here are 3 photos (out of 2 rolls) that I was pretty pleased with overall...

Try to find a sheet of gel filter material and cut a piece to place over the rangefinder window and tape in place. It should help in the loss of contrast. I've not had to do it with mine but have had success with other cameras. A bright yellow seems to do well.
Though my meter works, I seldom use it as I work with the Sunny 16 rule and also a handheld meter.
The camera is great and using it more often will greatly improve the % of good results. When I pull out a shelf queen I've not used for some time, the initial results are not all that decent but quickly improve. Yes, I know that cameras are asically the same but it is like driving different cars, it takes a bit of getting used to the individual character of each.
