I am working on an article comparing the value proposition of buying Leica products new vs. buying used two years later. Is anyone willing to share the basics of billable repairs and amounts they have experienced for digital M series (M8, M9, MM, M240, etc.)? This would be for Leica NJ, as it is the only authorized service agent in the U.S. and the only one with parts.
If you're reticent to put this in a forum, feel free to PM me. I am not going to publish any names.
My goal is to get a range of sample repair prices by category (to use my own experience, my M8's sensor was replaced at a charge of $1,800).
