Leica events in Australia in October

I got invited to Leica events in Sydney on 23 October and Melbourne on 24 October. I wonder if this is the Leica M11 V launch, or whatever they decided to call the M EVF camera?

Unfortunately I have a booked event and can’t go.

Very intriguing! If someone let me know the time of the Melbourne event, I might hang around the glass doors and see what goes on hahaha

As an aside, can anyone explain the rationale' for an M11V? If that's what you really want doesn't it exist already as one of the SL bodies?

No. The SL do not have angled microlenses so there is still some smearing with M lenses in the corners, and they are much bigger.

I'd be happy to if it was simple, but they want email address and ID confirmation for attendance. To pass my invitation on and facilitate someone else going could trigger identity theft laws, and at best is just disingenuous. If my name is going to be sullied, I'll do it myself 😂
