The Nikon Diopters for FM3A, FM2, FM, FE2, FE & FA screw into the Bessa R2A and R3A eyepiece. No adaper is needed. I just put one on my R3A and it works great.
No. A magnifier enlarges the viewfinder image so you can focus more accurately (because it makes small misalignments of the RF patch more visible.)
A diopter -- short for "diopter correction lens" -- changes the vision correction in the camera eyepiece. If you wear eyeglasses, use of the right diopter can make it possible to view clearly through the camera without having to wear the glasses.
Note that most camera viewfinder systems are not 'diopter-neutral' -- they've often got a slight diopter correction built in, usually in the minus direction. So you can't just read the diopter number off your eyeglasses prescription and buy a diopter correction lens of the same number -- you've got to try the correction lenses on the camera and see which one gives you the most comfortable vision.
