Leica Failures Anybody?

Hi,

How many of you have had or have heard of new, out-of-the-box LEICA M failures/defects/problems/QC issues? M8's not included.

For what it worth, there are certain statistics (inclduing here on RFF) on brand new M8 that were malfunctioning right out of the box....didn't hear such on regular Ms though....

Ditto, check in at Pnet, I think that is where I have heard of most.

Had one with an M6 back in 1986. Actually, it worked right out of the box, but within 2 weeks had a problem that locked up the film advance. This developed after air travel, and I've wondered whether the vibrations on the (long) flight loosened a screw.
