Hey, that's not just any Leica-FED. It is a 1500 Euro FED, a one and only.

I also have a FED with some Cyrillic script, but alas Papa Joe's name isn't any where to be found on my camera.

I have checked photos of the 1952 MayDay parade in Red Square and I don't see the camera around Uncle Joe's neck. He must have shipped it off to Germany and bought himself a Nikon.. LOL

Actually the Stalinets (Сталинец, he reads this as "Stalineu") model appears to be a not uncommon flavour of fake Zorkies. You find it on Nate's page (here, with pictures) and also on Tom's page on fake Zorkies (here, under "Stalinet").
