I prefer my bokeh over most other qualities, not to be admired but rather to be invisible and so not distract from my blessed subjects.
However, if I am going to pay good money then why not try for a mythical beast.
Are there any lenses out there that have a splash of each of the above virtues: nice bokeh, leica glow and micro-contrast?
Or maybe there are lenses that might do 2, and something different for a third virtue. Cheaper lenses would be good too: I'm not looking to get a Leica, but I am fascinated by them anyway.
Some would say that the Leica glow is a mermaid within the Loch Ness Monster, but I think people should be ignored when they get too rational, don't you? After all life isn't about long division, despite what Mrs Tidmarsh would have had me believe at the tender age of 9 1/2. I mean, really 2+2 is approximately 5, isn't it, and that's enough for anybody.

Well, I am just now beginning to learn about Leica lenses and so far am very happy with the glow and bokeh on the Summarit. I understand the Summitar is quite good and the Leica 75mm 1.4, 90mm 2.8, etc.
Which focal length do you like?

Like Dave said, it will help us if you are a bit more specific with focal length and speed requirements.
Also, since very subjective, do you have examples of "glow" and "bokeh" that you like and can share ?
My current guess is that you will end up with some kind of Summicron
Cheers,
Roland.

I love mine...
I love mine...
A 1961 mint 51.9mm Dual Range Summicron that is. Don't believe the lettering on the front ring. Inside, engraved by hand and intialed by the inspector, is the real focal length: 51.9mm. Wonderful lens. Flares like a witch if you aren't careful. Easily tamed by being careful.
You could do worse.
Not to be shy. Here are samples...
