Aloha (new to this forum and hoping to become an active participant)
I need some help identifying the lens that is in this camera. I just want to get a better idea as to whether or not this would have come with this camera back in day. Sorry I don't have it with me yet so I can provide a serial for the lens (it has one). But I'm uploading some pictures.
The serial for the camera is 95720.
Thank you!

That nickel eleven o'clock Elmar is very likely original to that camera.

Hi,
I did some research once, based on lists of stolen Leica cameras, and, in a nutshell, they usually had a lens on them from the same year or the one earlier.
Regards, David

Thank you for all this information.
The serials are:
Camera:95720 (1932)
Lens:97471 (1930)
Added some more pics as well.
The bottom plate has "open/close" engraved in English. Was this normal for Leica exports of that time?

Yes, open/close, 1/4" tripod screw, 'Germany' in flash shoe, all normal for an export model at the time.

Very nice camera & lens !
I have a II (s/n 77xxx) with 11 o'clock nickel Elmar (s/n 99xxx).
Can you share a picture your with the lens removed, so we can see the lens-mount ring ?
Thanks !
