Leica II take up spool

Hey Guys,

I just received a Leica II, looks superb and seems to be working OK. I just need a take up spool, I could take one from my other Leicas for the time being but still....

Finding an original Leica is a long shot and/or expensive, is it possible to use an early Fed(fed-1) or Zorki(zorki-1) one, like the ones that are really Leica copies and not their 'own' models?

The spools from my Zorki's fit my IIIc. Even better is a spool from a Canon rangefinder. They have a spring loaded knob that pops out and makes spool removal much easier. Good Luck. Joe

Well I just ordered a Zorki 1c, should arrive tomorrow... worst case: It won't fit and I'll have another nice camera to play with...

Well let's just hope the Zorki one fits... or it'll be one mighty expensive metal tube... 🙁 (good thing I got the camera for 25$ 😉 )

Well the take up spool fits! and now I also have a nice Elmar copy.
