Leica LTM Leica IIIb NY blitz flash settings

I want to shoot flash bulbs can anyone tell me what how much delay for each dash or for bulbsetting?View attachment 103762

I have one of these outfits, but haven't played with it for a while.

If your III-b was not upgraded with a III-f type black or red-dial flash sync under the shutter-speed dial, I'm not aware of any sync adjustment.

The flash base-plate is triggered by a plunger on the underside of the shuttter-crate... when shutter-button is depressed, this plunger closes the switch contacts in the base-plate, and fires the flash, right as the shutter blinds first open.

All that said, during this era, there were "long-peak" bulbs, the FP ("Focal Plane" ) among them. These would "sync" with any shutter speed from 1/25 thru 1/500 sec.

If you set the shutter at 1/30 sec, it should sync reasonably well.

What bulbs are you planning to use ?

The lever on the camera base is the sync for this iiib the first dash I'm thinking is close or zero delay. This flash outfit was made in leitz new york. I know these different snyc delays are for different fp bulbs but i dont know which ones the dashes represent

Yea, I cant find any instruction for it . Its a Blitz the difference between selis and selsey is one is base plate fits a iiia or iiib and the other is for a iiic. I dont have the leica manual maybe someone could check for me?

A clue from Google & Photo.net:

The slider on the base plate adjusts for synchronizing speeds from 1/20 to 1/1000 sec. I found a reference and photo in Morgan and Lester's Leica Manual for 1947."
