Leica iiic curtain lag 20% in images?

Greetings- I recently acquired an old Leica iic that was a friends. He was very clear that it has been sitting for some time. The first roll of film produced mainly sharp images, but also ones that had around a 20% overlap eachtime of what I must assume is the curtain lag/ out of sync.

Has anyone else experienced? I am having it sent in for a full service shortly, but wanted to know if this was a common issue.

The images are here and start at page 5. Keep in mind I was merely trying to shoot through a roll to test it. No great shots here. 🙂

The shutter is capping, presumably on the faster speeds. The second curtain is catching up with the first curtain before it has left the frame. The CLA you are getting should sort this out.
