I am thinking of selling my 1954 Leica IIIf Red Dial and I am wondering what they go for these days. Body only, all functions work and vf clean and clear. I am in Australia but an indication would be good if anyone has the time. Thanks!

Watch the 4sale ad's on the bay. Note the prices of "sold" iiif bodies and there you have it. It's always an average however. A bit more, a bit less. The price is always what a buyer is willing to pay at that time. Good luck. PS, a bunch of clear pictures and a informative description can only help. PS--- My resent Leica RD IIF was obtained for $169.00. The RD IIIf cost more, a nudge past 200 bucks. It needs an adjustment on the slow speeds. A cla will bring up the overall costs. The seller gave my favorite discription "the 1 sec & 1/2 sec speeds sound off" wow sure wish I had that kind of hearing. So far the IIf has filled my needs. The thing that struck me right off is how lite and pocket-able it really is. Good luck.

Im trying to sell my 1950 111f not a red dial in mint condition with 5cm lens. Both just had a complete CLA for $599us. In the classified here on RFF with a 5cm viewfinder. Not one bite. I dont get it.

A body alone with clean cosmetics and working well with good undamaged shutter curtains is worth perhaps $350 on eBay - less off eBay -- say $275-300 here or at other sales venues. Leica prices are driven to a large extent by the cosmetic condition.
