Leica IIIf with Nikkor 50mm f1.4 SC LTM

Lovely shots, Nick, and a good looking blog. I'll always kick myself for not getting a IIIf that was in an antique store for months at $150. I just kept telling myself I didn't want to go down that route of buying expensive lenses to go with it. Then I got a Zorki to mess around with, and fell for the Barnack way of life. Still don't have one though. Other things have gotten my interest since then.

The last shot is astonishingly tactile: you can practically feel the velvety leaves. Very, very nice!

As an aside: never saw this lens before so i looked it up. A real nice copy is on e-bay asking $1300. Ouch.

Very nice look to those pictures Nick and a lovely looking lens. I am amazed to see that you have no filter / protection on the front? Is that only whilst shooting?

Thanks for the comments
The lens is not too common so the price can be a but silly
Im afraid I have far too many lenses to stick filters on them all :bang:

Nice images!

I have the Nikkor 50mm f1.4 SC LTM and it is one of my very favorite lenses.

I use it a lot on my M3 and I've been very pleased with the resulting images.
