Leica IIIg Canada?

I just picked up a IIIg, I am wondering where it was made. The camera is clearly marked wetzlar, but according to the Leica Collectors Guide, by Dennis Laney, it says it was assembled in Canada, but not marked as such. The camera is 871319. Does this affect its value? Any thoughts I would be very interested.

All my Leica screw mounts were assembled in Canada, and to me their value is the same as the German assembled ones. My IIIG is a 1st year model, and one of my IIIf's is one number out from a known Midland stamped one. How the assembly of the Midland stamped ones is still some what of a topic on how it was done.

From what I've seen, the Midland cameras are only worth more if they are clearly marked as Midland. The ones with this engraving are rare.

Otherwise, the cost of a Midland camera is the same as a Wetzlar one.
