Leica lens repair in Zurich

Hi Guys!

Unfortunately, I think my dear 50 Summicron lens has suffered some damage in a fall (with me on top of it) near Central station in Zurich. The buttery smoothness with which the focusing ring would normally rotate is gone, it's now tight and difficult to rotate. I wonder whether anyone can point me to a good shop in Zurich where I can get it checked/repaired.

I find the people in Foto Baeren friendlier and less snobby than in FotoPro Ganz.

Depending on how much time you have you can try sending it to Leica Switzerland: www.leica-camera.ch

Another official Leica rep that you can try is www.camerastore.ch. It's a small store and the shop owner is there most of the time. I'm not 100% sure but I think he does repairs 'in store' unlike the people at Foto Bären or FotoPro Ganz who will probably just tell you that they have to send it out.


@nksyoon: If I'm not mistaken 'Foto Bären Optik' is now called 'Foto Bären Digital' 🙂
