Leica lore, focusing on their cine side, but still lots of articles on their heritage, history, return to Wetzlar and optical designer.

I've worked on a few features with the Arri Master Primes, and while the image they create is outstanding, the size and weight is a bit off-putting. I haven't had the opportunity to use the Summilux Cine lenses, but the form factor is certainly an advantage I'd appreciate when operating the camera.

I don't shoot motion pictures, but I do shoot a LOT of Cine glass, mostly from the classic era. Cooke and Kern made the best cine lenses for 35mm and 16mm, respectively. In the 1950s, 95% of Hollywood movies were shot with Cooke lenses.
