I just ordered a Tower type III, from KEH.com and I'm wanting to know if the Leica cassettes I used with my IIIC will function with it?

From what I understand the Leica cassettes will work in the Tower. There has been one at a local shop for the last few months and the baseplate is a close match to a Leica.

Thanks, I'd hate not to be able to use these.
I have a dozen or so, all with their cans and, it's so much nicer to be able to ID film for a barnack among whatever other camera fodder I might be toting.

The baseplate on the Tower has the lock to open either FILCA or IXMOO cassettes. I have heard rumors it's the only copy with this feature but someone with more knowledge may have better information. Nice camera, have fun.

I use leica bulk cassettes in my nicca III which I think is the same as the Tower
