Leica M Advanced Photo School Gunter Osterloh

I was interested in buying a copy of this book some weeks ago - until I saw the prices! $179.50 seems to be at the "cheaper end" of the market, check out the prices asked on Amazon and Abebooks.com.

Just out of interest, what did it retail at when new?
 
That's ridiculous, the regular price was around $50.00 if I remember correctly and it should still be around, check you local book store and don't be fooled by some jerk on evil bay trying to make a fortune. ;)

I did have a good look around for this book, but with no luck. The booksellers I contacted told me it was either out of print or that they were waiting for a third edition to be printed. In the mean time prices have rocketed.

I just checked BN.com and no new available , used from $249.00 LOL !!!

I think I might have seen it still at a local camera store about 2 weeks ago, so if you like to get it before a potential reprint is issued, give them a call : 201-664-4113, BergenCountyCamera.com Good luck.

Sorry to say but their web site inventory is not always up to date. Staff & servcie are great, so I'd rather call them and they will check the shelf instore for you while you're on the phone.
 
You have GOT to be kidding! That book actually SOLD for $179 on ebay? Availlable used from B&N for $250? I have a copy. The original price was $39.95. I'm sure I saw it less than a year ago for near that same price.
 
I got a copy for $100 about 4 mos ago. I found it to be a "bargain" compared to the $300-$400 range I saw at the time. Great book, though, and I don't regret it.
 
That's a newer edition. I got mine "First English-language 1987 edition" for ~ $97 a couple of month ago from a seller via Amazon. When I was looking for this book, older editions (and in German-language) were selling at about $350 - $400.
