Leica M base Warp ?

On my M3, the base ( where there's a diagram of the loading mechanism ) seems a bit warped. Might this be normal with age ( expansion & contraction of metal for due to heat for 60 years ) ? It does not seem to impair the usage.

Tightened the two screws on the right. The one on the left won't budge and I assume it's tight.

Just realised that the plate is called a "Leica film guide plate"
