Interesting to read that they’re debuting the return of the Leicavit.. I wonder if there will be any internal differences with the models they discontinued just a few years ago.

I don't know if it's currently the case (the luxury-products market is down as we speak) but in the past, if you wanted to get ahold of a Leica special edition, you either needed to be notified in advance, else get yourself into the pre-order queue immediately.
Think I'd rather have a regular baseplate than the winder, but otherwise, this looks very nice.

I wouldn't be interested in a limited edition collector camera, but considering that the standard M-A costs $5,900 and the 50mm APO-Summicron costs $9,600, the price of this limited edition set isn't as astronomical as I would have expected.
