I will be travelling to Hong Kong this coming weekend for the Rugby 7's and staying in Wanchai. I am interested in purchasing a 21/1.4 or 24/1.4ASPH. Are there any stores which deal in used lenses or stores which offer new at attractive pricing? Any advice gratefully received!

try nine days, fotopia, and other boutique stores if you want to look for leica stuff. there is also another famous area on nathan (champagne court?) that is really bad for your heart when you go in there to look at the eye candy.

Champagne Court has lots of cool stuff, but not necessarily the cheapest game in town. Be sure to bring your EQ with you, as it's easy to end up with something you may not have wanted. But yes, lots to look at.

Across New Sankyo on Mody Road, Tin Cheung has their "used" shop. I've seen some LTM lenses for sale at reasonable prices.

Champagne court's always been a funny place in my mind, unless you really know your stuff I wouldn't shop there. Also, for new lenses, don't go there, only go for weird old stuff. And just make sure you stay on ground floor

Found a great shop in Causeway Bay just off of the back of Hennessy Road Meteor(Joseph Cheng 9A Lin Fook House, 3 Jardine Crescent (852 2392 0363). I found and bought a brand new 21/1.4 at a great price and great service: relaxed atmosphere and espresso coffee too. Joseph appears too be just starting up but has both new and used Leica gear with Voigtlander and Linhof thrown in. It's not easy to find - up the stairs and elevator to the 9th floor I only found it because of the lady holding up a sign which had a picture of an M3 on it! Well worth the effort for me!
