Leica M Monochrom: best pics

Loving the recent pure Americana images, Vince!

Michael, I saw Parliament Pinstripe a few hours ago by chance on my mobile, on the Flickr app. It was tiny and I was walking (it was in grid mode so really fingernail-size), but sure enough I knew right away that was your new MM London shot. Now I'm on a proper screen and it looks great. (Amazing pop on the briefcase, and contrast with the dark background and its shadow!)

Thank you Fabio! Your image of Hatsune Kaidan at Cafe Oto has been in my mind for the last few days!

Vince, all your recent ones look very dark: are they scans of prints…..?

Yes I noticed that too on some of them, looking on my big computer at home. I think it's my laptop screen -- I was working on these on the road (in brightly-lit cafes, hotel rooms etc), so its screen calibration might be off, plus I wasn't always working on them in consistent cirumstances.

I'll look at all of them on my big screen and re-upload them.

I just corrected and re-uploaded everything -- hopefully they look better!

One more for now....

What I should probably do is open the same image on both my laptop and my desktop, and adjust the laptop screen until both images look the same.

They look great, of course. I'm often fiddling sliders in Lightroom on my laptop only to find that the screen brightness is way down.

Vince is that shot with cassette tapes in Ontario? Very cool shot. Wish I'd thought to do something with the cassettes I threw away years ago. This thread has so many better shots. The tones with the M are beautiful.
