Earlier photos, but I printed it on a fibre paper and "scanned" with Monochrom (originally shot with MM as well) for posting. 😉 Not really well corrected after the scan but you get the idea. Monochrom definitely makes me wanna print a lot more than before.

Just back from the big apple

Thanks Dan and Vince. Missed ya Dan but man was it HOT in the gallery and the city for that matter on Tuesday. I was able to get out and get some work done.

And I, like Vince welcome critique. As far as film vs digital I love them both. Shot film for decades and old zone system large format guy and yew I did the tests. If I want the film look I will shoot film. I think the fact that i can shoot at really high ISO and get amazing prints from a B&W digital camera with medium format quality to me is great. The fact I can shoot one frame at 320 ISO and the next at 10,000 is something I like. It's not better than film, just different, and I like the differences for many reasons. The prints are truly stunning from the MM.

AAHHH the New York Italian salute

Great shot and perfect focus, Michael. At first I thought, having the focus on the person would be better but I think it works perfectly now. Your (viewer's) intention is to focus on the person and then you look where the focus is and the view gets pulled to Baker Street - and back and forth.

The above timing is so perfect it looks like it could be photoshopped 😉. How many shots did you take ?
Anyway great, thanks for sharing, Dave.

Klaus, thanks! I've checked my raw files and the file numbers, it's just one shot, lucky I guess.

Yes! Dave, you have a great 50mm eye.
