Leica M Monochrom: best pics

Hey guys, I am mostly just lurking silently in the corner, here is a few from after midnight around the biggest fruit market in Shanghai:

Somehow always the circle closes and I end up again with just this one combo:
Mono + UC-Hex = the perfect camera

I didn't know the name of this little park until I checked a Google map, but I remember we played here as children. My Cub Scout pack met just down the street in Tommy Burton's garage; my sister played with his sisters; and I'll bet my cousins came here too.

As a Cub I was devoid of aesthetic sensibilities. The grass was for games, the rocks and trees for climbing. Until I went back to take its picture, I didn't know our playground was such a beautiful and even mysterious spot.

MM 35 Cron v4 (2 files stitched). I think it looks a bit lighter here than on Flickr. Anyhow the print has a full tonal range.

Yeah good stuff Dirk and yes the files are just amazing....

Dave we hope you are back soon...

Thanks Allen, … and I second the comment!

Thanks Jean-Marc, I am still in a inspirational black hole it seems. The Mono though is the one camera that somehow seems to inspire, it certainly is my favourite image-maker, always has been.

I love such frames with reflections taking part in the composition !

This could very well be the one sample shot to answer all questions, why would one want to buy a digital camera, that cannot record colours in 2014 ;-)

Stunning performance by a guest artist tonight at the Birdland :

what I'm seeing now is absolutey gorgeus, looks analog to me, bravo: Dave, Fabio, Vince, Thom, Dirk and many others.

Bruno, thank you. All the others you mentioned are inspiration to this thread.

This is great Dave, the second shot of the boy is my favourite!

Thank you Dirk. It's quite different from the other lenses I have, have to get used to w/o a focusing tab. 😉

Strong series Dave, the two kids are my favorites.
Although they probably are (?), they look "un-posed", very good.

And thanks for your comment on the singer.
She was just awesome from the moment she took stage.

The bokeh is out of this world, where (/how) did you get that? :bang:

Thanks!! I think the RF looks so unassuming and does not impose on the subjects, most of these kids will not react and continue with what they were doing. Surprisingly I think if I aimed a DSLR with a 70-200, the kids will most likely react and shy away.
