Leica M Monochrom: best pics

Working off my iPad in our RV in Canada, so I’m not sure how these photos are going to look (and I’m only able to use LR CC with basic adjustments). Hope they look okay - if not, I’ll replace them when I’m back home.

Both with the 35/2 Summicron V1 (M3 version). Magical lens.

These look particularly good to me (on my 27 inch monitor). Of course I am also drawn to the composition but tonality right in there!

Thanks David -- I'm back home now and will go through them again. A few of them look dark to me on my home computer, so I'll likely replace a few.

Actually the "Still in the North Country" group look very good to me as well. I was just immediately drawn to the first two I mentioned. After seeing those, it was tough to switch gears and appreciate the "nature" images after taking in the first two which are a world apart.

I agree the Louise image and the last one for sure is a bit dark. It would be fun to see those from your regular workflow :)

With friends visiting over a drink following a guitar recital. The room was quite dark so exposure here is ISO3200 1/12th sec @ f2 MM w 35 Summicron

Just replaced Louise -- you're right, that first one sure was dark!

Reworking a few of the 'remote' photos from a couple of weeks ago, plus some new ones from the Old Country:

Thanks Larry!

That is a very nice set of images, Vince!

Here are a few images from yesterday walking around Seattle. I picked up a 46mm B+W #090 filter for my Summilux 50mm that I was excited to try on the Monochrom, I'm quite happy with the results so far.

Many thanks Andrew -- I'm exploring our future new surroundings in the Canadian wilderness, so photos from there will eventually become a more frequent occurrence. Still trying to make sense of it all!

I came across this very interesting mushroom in our forest:

Hey Vince any NM plans in the near future?

I'm going to have to go back out within the next few months, as I have a solo show scheduled for later next year in Baltimore. Right now it's just a question of time and money, plus our new property up north is consuming my attention.
