Wonder how did you get the shot, did you ask permission? Because it's really a great candid, the expression is just spot on - his cane, leather overcoat, satchel and eyeglasses complete his character.

WOW, and the dog in the background is too cool too! This is worthy of wall hanger consideration. Very well done!

It was actually a couple and she is almost completly hidden behind him. The satchel is hers. They were both first talking to the girl with the dog, then walking along the windows. I walked faster and stopped at the corner turned back and took a couple of shots first from the side and then he turned towards me.

Hi Sean,
I particularly like these two. even at the small size for web posting the MM files are just amazing. It's like looking at the real scene. Keep posting.

If Leica had just two of you guys helping with promotion they'd have sold twice as many of these cameras. Sean that velvet road in this last one is wonderful.

Thanks so much. It's been really fun to try to get an understanding of what this camera can do, I find myself being amazed every day. It keeps surprising me.

sean and I really like the guy with the paper. Bold crop on that one. Nicely seen.

Shopping in Union Square San Francisco. Lots of tired folks and fun street music.

Great stuff everybody!
Dave, the very last shot is fantastic - has a nice feel to it!
I shot the Mono very little Yesterday, just a few supplementary shots to the D3, which I used mostly with flash …

The one thing that I am noticing with the Monochrom is its ability to reproduce detail. I don't think my M9 rendered detail quite like this.
Other thing I've noticed in just shooting with the camera is that the viewfinder's bright lines are incredibly accurate. Interesting, as that was one thing that I didn't like about the M9 -- how inaccurate they seemed to be!
I'm still getting used to properly exposing with this camera -- I think slight underexposure works better for me, thereby assuring detail in my highlights. I'm still looking more at the screen than I probably should be after the shot is taken just to make sure I got the exposure right, but hopefully I'll be doing that less and less as I get more used to the camera. I just picked up the 21/2.8 Elmarit this week, so that's getting a bit of a workout too. Definitely will be shooting a lot tomorrow when I see all the relatives!
