Hey Larry,
I shoot JPGs and manipulate the images with NX Studio. The workflow is easier to manage than Photoshop. I've not used Lightroom or C1. I'm cheap

That’s interesting, and something it would have never occurred to me to try, Nikon’s new RAW processing software for Leica Monochrom DNG files.
I have used it for Nikon NEF files, but nothing else. Perhaps I have tunnel vision.
You’ve compared it to Lightroom or Capture One and found NX Studio better for Monochrom files? I’m not challenging that, just would like to learn something. (Without doing the work myself.)

Hi Helen,
that brings back memories of myself following the parade all the way from Central Park south to Washington SQ Park. In front of the crowd, beside the parade and sometimes in the middle of the pack. One of the rare occasions I preferred to shoot in color. I think I did this 4 or 5 years. Obviously thanks to Covid restrictions to wear masks all the expressions of faith, joy and happiness are hidden. That was what made this event so exciting.
How I miss NYC in pre-pandemic times. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers

New workflow?
Monochrom 246, edit in 16-bit (been trying to come up with digital versions of Smith's soft bleaches), and then.... Photoshop "Neural" filter to "240" it!
(err, maybe "420" it?)
I wrote a wee blog post about this development too.
