Cheers my friend!
Jim hello!
Re: PP - nothing really fancy, probably just inherited the PP technique from how i process the Nikon D800E .nef files which have unprecendented latitude in terms of DR.
Basically here's what I do in LR: adjust exposure; push and pull the highlights, shadows, white and black sliders; then after that I tinker with the curves, being aware to protect both the highlights and shadows; apply vignetting.
Thank you Dave! I like your style very much.

Mainly taken with the cheap ($200) Canon 50 mm f/1.8 LTM or the Leitz Elmar-C 90 mm f/4 (parrot/man shots)

These portraits are very nice, excellent light. Would you mind sharing the particulars: lens and ISO rating? Any particular treatment in post?
Thanks so much. It was the 35 lux FLE available fluorescent lighting.
The dark haired woman was 3200 ISO and I think it was f/2.8 at 1/125
The nurse was also 3200 ISO 1/125 at f/2 IIRC.
Quick mask (CS4) on faces and after that faces are masked I brought the backgrounds down some. 1/2 stop or so.

I like the lady with leather gloves and white furry hat. The mono really shows all the tones with outstanding detail. She's pretty also, that helps HAHA.

Can't keep up with the pace of this great thread ;-)
Nice tuff everybody!
Was nice to meet you Kim! Hope to see you around next times …
You guys are fast with your photos up online - I like especially Andrew's 12mm wide angle stuff!
Ashwin, that Canon 100/2 is gold in your hands!
Here are few first frames from the weekend:
all shots with 16 ƒ8 Hologon @ ƒ16

The Hologon really makes me shoot more verticals (strange thing to do for me usually):
