Leica M Monochrom: best pics

...

@Klaus - I just can imagine how did you get the shot on the first one, haha.

Hi Dave,
just playing around with a very low point of view, holding the camera just above the ground after the water started receding. I was walking in the wet zone...

Here some more of the boxer:

^It is pretty awesome. If only it was a cute model instead of buddy there. ;)
What lens, if you don't mind me asking?

I see. Sorry, I was just imagining it with a very H. Newtonesque lady perched under that arch. ;)

And thats great for you. Not a huge Newton fan here. ;)

And even if I were a fan of his I wouldn't want to make images like him. I would rather make crappy images that look like mine than great images that look like someone else's.

Sorry man, I'm not trying to take anything away from your great image.

I am a huge Newton fan, if I could make images somewhere near to his I would be siked. Haha, I'll shut up now.

I'm a big fan of Weston, Adams, Robert Frank, Bresson , Winogrand but have no desire to make photographs like theirs but love their work and realize that I could never be them so I would just rather be myself. Thats much better for me than trying to be a pale imitations of someone else.

Yea, I agree with you. I guess I should have said I am inspired by Newton, but I don't try to copy his work either. I do really like using the Monochrom for fashion photography!

Yeah its a great camera. I certainly am glad I have mine.

As far as fashion goes I prefer both Penn and Avedon to Newton.
