Leica M Monochrom: best pics

Sorry to ask a question...
I have bought a Mono and currently in that exploration phase, anyway when I compare the DNG v the corresponding JPG the histograms and pictures are noticeably different.
e.g. a slightly different shape to the curve, with the JPG showing no highlight clipping yet the DNG does, should this be expected or typical..?

I was scrolling from the bottom up, before I saw your avatar, I knew it was you. I know your signature. If t'was a plane, your hit signature is one of that from the F22 Raptor... @airfrog
 
That's great news! Always nice to have some recognition. Which picture was it?

I had a smidgen of good news today as well -- one of my photos was chosen to be part of a juried show at the Leica Store in DC (it's the one of the horses painted on the wall in New Mexico). I think it opens on Saturday. Don't know how many photos total will be in or how many applied.
