And aren't you in position to be run over?

If the one on foot was in europe, I would guess he was a Brit lol!

And, yes, I was half way across the road, stopped on seeing the bike, framed and shot whilst they passed and continued across to the other side 😀

There's a tip folks. stay focussed somewhere between 3 and 5 metres!

Thanks John. I've been wondering whether my high contrast images from Monochrom are well received. There's another thread with numerous comments on the high contrast images being a waste of the MM's talents. Personally, I find the high contrast works well hung on a wall.

I agree - personal taste and all that (as pointed out by Klaus). I find that muddy grey prints just don't cut it for me, that little bit more contrast really works for prints that are meant to be viewed "in person", rather than filed away on a HDD.

But then, I have always been a fan of Bill Brandt - not that "soot & whitewash" is the only solution, I just like a touch of chiarascuro in street photography.
