Leica M Monochrom: best pics

I was invited to take some shots at a wedding where both the bride and groom are bellringers - the shoot in the dark capability of the MM came in handy after the ceremony

Thanks, Dave, it was difficult to know which lens to choose and whether to shoot at an enormous ISO in camera or push in LR. In the end I opted for the latter but still had some problems with the huge contrast range. Overall, a very interesting afternoon.

Many thanks guys -- this was taken over the weekend in NYC, and was just a quick shot of the chef behind the counter at a 'noodle' restaurant. The window light from the left looked so good on him, that I had to take the shot. I don't think he even noticed. 1/30th @ f/2 (50 Summicron), I think, ISO 320.

I did confirm one thing about taking photos in NYC this past weekend -- I am a lousy 'street' photographer. Best to stick what I know best, whatever that is.

Show is up -- spent much of the day hanging everything (26 pieces in total), and overall it looks pretty good. There are still some touchups on the wall that need to be done, but it should all be ready for the opening reception on Saturday.
