Another fantastic abstract, nicely seen Allen!

Vince, I like your pilings photo, but agree on its flatness. I'd likely try raising the upper tones to have more contrast with the pilings. I don't work photos on a notebook at all, but I thought Macs were pretty good for that. For some photographers, I've read, that's their main computer. FWIW, your biker pic has a very high structure look to me, something I don't usually see from you.

John, I just made some corrections to that 'biker' photo - hopefully it looks better!

At least two more with me and my buddy!
It is rsvp, so if you dare, you can ask Brandon how many have done so.

Thanks for your support! As it is right now, you could conceivably just show up and they would add you to the RSVP list on the spot. I think it's as a result of the mall regulations/serving alcohol etc. So there may be a total of 6 of us! In all seriousness I do hope there will be a few more (and boy wouldn't a couple of sales be nice!), but I'm under no illusions of a mob of groupies showing up and all the work flying out the door. I don't think the mall will need to call out the riot suppression squad for this event :)

Many thanks -- I'm trying to get whatever I can while I'm here in Port Angeles until Saturday. The reception at the Leica Store is Saturday evening, then Sunday begins the long drive back!

Thank you Klaus -- it helps when you have subjects who are wiling to put up with you :)

Tonight is the reception for 'Mapping the West' at the Leica Store in Bellevue, WA., and tomorrow I start the long journey back to the Baltimore area. Seems like I've been on the road forever (3 weeks Monday and about 5000 miles so far). Going to be a bit of a culture shock to be back into the normal routine!

What a wonderful series of portraits, Vince. I especially like the second Terri and that in most of them you included enough environment to give a sense of place.

There is really no subject quite like the human face and eyes. They are all a pleasure to view!

John

Many thanks John (twice!) -- I'm hoping that I'll be able to add a few more to the mix this week on the way back home. Bad news is that my laptop seemingly died this morning (MacBook white screen of death). I tried all the various methods of repair, but nothing has changed. So I won't be able to work on or upload any more photos until after I'm home :(

The reception at the Leica Store Bellevue is at 7pm tonight, and supposedly they had about 25 RSVP's. Considering I don't know anyone personally who will be in attendance tonight, if they all show up I will be quite pleased!

Great time meeting Vince tonight & putting eyeballs on his prints. Way better (as usual) than looking at things online.

Vince, a pleasure meeting you. Fantastic stuff, keep pushing your vision, can't wait to see more!

Safe drive home,
Jay
