I'm glad to be able to participate in this tread again, with the arrival yesterday of an M246. I swapped my MM1 for an M6 three years ago in a return to film initiative. I'm thinking now that experiment might be over and am considering a return to digital with the Monochrom.
A few get-acquainted-with-the-camera shots from walks this morning at the Theosophy Center and our local equestrian facility. All with the ZM 50 Planar.

Amazing that you can drive right by this place on I-25 and completely miss it. I’ve stood there many times - so has Ansel

Yeah I try to imagine the place before the interstate. It really hasn't changed much since Adams took his shot a LONG time ago except the interstate.

Thank you guys. I waffled a lot between an M246 and M10, but finally decided I prefer an all-BW workflow and no conversions. I think I'll enjoy it. Maybe we'll be back on the city streets by next spring or summer.

Same feelings here, Helen. It's very different feature-wise than the MM1. I'm reading through the manual so I don't miss anything.
People say the Planar is a high contrast lens, but it seems pretty even tempered to me. I hope to get a vintage 50 as the budget allows.
Allen, I'm keen to get back downtown regularly again. Part of my retirement plan was to spend a day or two there photographing. Alas....

I though that you might really like it. I still love my original MM. Think I might pick up an M 10 M at some point in the future. I really like the way the M 10 functions.
Happy holidays to you also. Lets all hope for a much better 2021.

Hey John,
I was really planning on going into the city more to but like you. For me it is only 15 minutes in on the blue line so really no excuse. I haven't been shooting much of anything lately. We were in the Fla Keys and Key West the first part of Nov and I did a fair amount of shooting when we were there but really not much since. On well. Like our famous sports words "next year".
