Leica M to Micro 4/3 shift adapter?

Is 8.55 mm not enough space to make a shift adapter for mounting Leica M (27.80 mm flange distance) lenses on Micro 4/3 (19.25 mm) cameras?

I would prefer m4/3's aspect ratio over APS-C and was thinking of putting a Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6 III or the 15mm f/4.5 III on a Panasonic GX9.

I have a Pen F and can use Leica M lenses via adapter on it - have the rod adapter too, but it's overkill.
Got my adapter on fleabay. I do have a by 12mm with lm adapter on and use it too with no issues
