Leica M10 Meter Always On

I just got an M10 yesterday. Incredible camera. I was surprised that the meter is always on when the camera is being used in full manual mode. It makes sense that it would be if you were using auto ISO/shutter/aperture, but is there anyway to turn it off until you half-press when in manual? Would be nice to try and preserve some battery

Assuming it is like the m240 make sure Live view isn’t on and set metering to classic. The meter (and framelines) shuts off after about a minute and turn back on with a half press. This is in manual mode. I have sleep timer set to 10 minutes.
