Almost a year ago I got a great deal on my green M10-P and have no plans to upgrade.

Given the right price/opportunity, I'd have far more interest in the M10 Monochrom.

No need to buy one as I finally got my first digital M, an M10 Monochrom. Color will have to be on the Sony or on film.

I might eventually keep my eye out for a used M10-P.

I would have said it was also too expensive, because all Leicas are.

I actually sold my M10, Monochrom M246 and bought an SL2.
Back to film for black and white.

I was tempted when the M10 came out, liking the improvements from the M240. Now the M10-R is even more tempting and I may get one at some point. But first I'd need to sell some gear.

More likely than not I will get one, but at that price, I am debating whether to get the Hasselblad X1D II plus lens instead (I already have a M240 and a M10).

Will continue shooting with my M6.

I won't be buying one, but if I did buy a brand new M...this would be the one. That said, the M just isn't the right camera for me anymore. Beautiful though... but I think the Q or Q2 would be the only Leica I would consider these days.

No plans or need to change.

If I were buying anything right now in the Leica M world, it would be between the M10-R and the M10-M, with the M10-D running third. I'm more likely to buy both a Pixii and a Sigma fp.

But I'm not planning to buy anything further this year in cameras, and part of next year's budget is pre-allocated for the XCD 80/1.9 lens.

When I was in college in the 1980s, Leicas -- even used ones -- were way too expensive for me. At my peak earnings about 10 years ago, I bought an M8, and then an M9. But I have been pulling back from my "day" job for a little while now, and the cost of current Leicas is just too much to contemplate. I feel like the bell curve of my earnings briefly poked above the average cost of the M's and R's back in the day. But those days are not likely to come again any time soon. And that's OK. I will purchase one day in the far future on the used side of the equation, when prices have come down from the stratosphere, or turn to Sony/Canon/Nikon (or the survivor of them) at some point in the future. The price and performance of the Nikon Z system is about right for me now. So we will see, but we won't see a new Leica in my camera case for quite some time.

big whoop, we used to say. cannot fathom why anyone would buy this M10 over the 'P' or the 'D'. i thought the mega-pixel wars faded away long ago.

I am still using my three years old M10 and ten years old M9. If I am a professional photographer, I may need a much higher resolution for a bigger display screen or even printing. Otherwise, M10 is more than enough. And most likely, my photos will be viewed on the iPhone by the other people. That extra resolution would be a waste for me.

I am also a little concerned about how those good old vintage Leica lenses (I have a lot...) perform on the 40MP Leica digital.

I still consider my Leica M-E bought in 2013 a new camera (it's had two sensor changes, the last in 2018 both gratis). I think the new m10-R is a lovely camera but not for the A$13,500 they are asking here Downunder. For that money I'd get the Hasselblad X1D 11.

I bought a regular M10 a few days ago. I wanted a new M10, and I would have bought a new M10R if I had not found an unused regular M10 that was bought in June 2020.

I chose the "Not in the next six months" option as 1) I don't like buying digital gear when it first comes out. Let them work the bugs out first. 2) I'm not done with setting up my film kits yet. 3) When I do finally get a digital Leica it will be a difficult choice as to what to get first as there are so many choices now.

At my age I also have to ask myself is this going to be my only camera? Will it be my last camera? Do I want something with more bells and whistles, or less? Interchangeable lens or fixed? Lots to think about when purchasing a high end Leica.

But one thing is quite evident right off the bat. Since I don't make money on photography, the megapixel boost of the M10-R is just a bit overkill. But man would it be nice.
