Leica M2 finder over the years

I have a question about Leica M2 finder differences over time.
I recently bought an M2 with serial 993xxx.
What I liked was the lever rewind and the lack of self timer.
My camera has a quate clean finder and patch but in respect to my other digital Ms it's blueish and maybe a little dimmer (maybe it needs CLA, the camera still has the L seal).
I heard there seems to be a difference in the viewfinder of the M2 past serial number 1052000 probably just the mask. Is it true?
I just wanted to know if a later sn M2 has a brigther better finder or they are just built differently.
Do you know something about it?
I searched here on the forum but can't find anything related to this.

The VF on my M2 (1104xxx) is bright but has a definite cool/blue tint. I understand this was to increase contrast with the RF patch.
