First of all, I tend to use my left eye when shooting. M2s and M3s have the two connectors in the back to the right of the viewfinder. For those of you that wear glasses, are these connectors hitting your right lens when you shoot with the left eye? thanks.

I'm left-eyed, with glasses, and never had any problem with the synch contacts on my M2, but then mine have always had their plastic covers in place, and haven't been updated to the later style. It may be difficult these days to find original-style M synch covers... well, let's see what B&H has: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...s&Q=&sku=153755&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

This item above LOOKs like it's for the old-style M2 /M3 synch terminals, but mine are clear, not black.

Here's one that might work on updated M synch contacts, not sure:

I was hoping to be able to simply leave the PC adaptor plugged into my M3, but the dang thing hits my glasses. I'm left eyed too.

I'm pretty sure I don't even have a PC adaptor... and I've never removed the synch covers, which I should clarify are not clear but rather colorless/whitish. Frank, do those black covers at B&H look to you like they'd fit?

I've forgoten in the past two years that I wear glasses too (weak prescription anyway) -- I lost all three of them in the same span and just didn't get around to ... ok, that's a long story.

What Doug said: get the plastic protector. That's what I'll need to do when I get my glasses back.

a better question.. do the connectors on the M2/M3 stick out a lot more than the connector on the M6? The connector on the M6 doesn't bother me, but granted it is further away from the viewfinder...

better than a poke in the eye

better than a poke in the eye

When I had a CLA by DAG, I had him change the plug to the M4 style which is flush and doesn't need an adaptor. Now I don't get poked in the eye.
