Ok, so I guess the title says it all. I just picked up a Leica M2 with a Summarit-M 50/1.5 for about the cost of a friday night! (hence why I'm home!)

Anyway, there is no 90mm frameline! None. With no lens on the 35 is showing, then I push the frameline preview towards the lens mount and it shows the 50... which way am I supposed to push it for the 90? it doesnt go any other way, its at its normal resting position, showing the 35, I push it all the way over while looking through the VF and the only frameline to show up is the 50.... the 90 is MIA...

Here is my question, camera was serviced by previous owner (the guy before the guy who I got it from), who was apparently a rather famous photojournalist from the cold war era in japan, would be have had Leica REMOVE the 90mm frameline? I did a google search and a search on here and nada... no one seems to talk about missing 90mm framelines on M2's... but I have the feeling, when tapped, you guys have the answer!

Thanks in advance!

with no lens attached, it will give you 35mm.
the more you push the preview lever, it will move to 50 and then 90mm

there are screws to calibrate frameline appearance, but you have to open the top cover first and should have proper lens or adapter for 50mm and 90mm.
