Leica M240 + Olympus VF-2 = No Work>?

Sorry I'm new to the whole digital leica thing.
So these two should work together, but when I attach any Olympus VF-2 to my new M240 it won't activate after I press the electronic viewfinder button on the VF-2.

What I am I doing wrong here?

Did that, then hit the LV button on the viewer.

Sent it in last week for check up to see if the port has a problem.

I can confirm definitively that the Olympus EVF does indeed work on my M240. Hope you can get it resolved.

That should not be necessary at all.

You should just be able to slip the EVF into the port, turn the camera on, and click the button on the EVF itself to activate it.

If that doesn't work, either the EVF has a problem or your camera has a problem.

The EVF button even bypasses the in-camera setting where you can disable the LV button completely.

This is the case with mine as well... I wonder if there might be a problem with the EVF....

I have 2 Oly EVF2's, both work flawlessly on my M240. Best way to figure out where the problem is, get your hands on another VF2 or the Leica clone, or try your EVF on another M240, whichever is practical.
