my m4-2 works fine with on-camera flash at the proper flash-sync speed (little lightning bolt thing). when i use my radio trans/recv system to sync up to my lumedynes at that same speed, i get half-pictures. this is my only fp shutter camera, so i've never experienced this before.
my question is, is this a defect in my camera sync that should be looked at, or is there just too much delay using the radio system, so that this should be expected? thanks.

Perhaps your shutter timing needs to be adjusted?

Not having a radio transmitter system, I would try the following. Shoot a couple of frames at 1/50, then radio at 1/50, 1/30 and 1/15. If non-radio at 1/50 is good and 1/30 or 1/15 is good with radio, it is probably a timing issue and adjusting the camera would not resolve the issue. Just my 0.02 worth.

If the camera works fine with on camera flash, then the camera is OK.
The sympton points indeed to a time lag.
This can be caused by either the radio system or the lumedynes system.
Test either the usual on-camera flash with the radio system or the lumedys system wired to see which one is the cause.
