Leica M4 M White dot Zeiss Fundus???

I'm not familiar with these: M4 M; white dot; Zeiss Fundus; Leitz-Zeiss cooperation. Are these things familiar to anyone?

Bump. Well, here's something about it. Fundus is/was evidently for a medical imaging technology. Apparently there was a special M4 version associated with it.

I’m a fundus photographer. Film backs in this field is before my time, but the cameras we use today are adapted to digital. Aside from color photo (slide film) our specialty is angiography which requires a rapid series of photos taken as we object dye into the arm (say one per second for one minute straight.)

I’m used to topcon fundus cameras but zeiss is popular. Zeiss makes all sorts of ophthalmic devices.

Interesting an m4 would be put into that situation, but I guess why not?

Not even uncommon I think. Way back when my friend scored three Leica M3 from the local hospital used as on microscopes/microfiche/what ever. Cameras looked brand new, inside the film plate an rails were almost worn away. No telling how many millions rolls of film went thru them. While the MD was made for this time of work, it really wasn't much cheaper and not that many were available.
