Hi Guys!

At last i finished this new restoration project.

This time a battered Leica M4P.

I´d say restoring leicas has something special, it´s not only the evident what is remade but also something else, call me crazy but i find a little magic.

hope you like it!

Thank guys!

The leather is real, i cut it from zero. I found it in a local store and it´s really nice nothing plastic.

The engravigs were filled in the most old fashion, little brush and patience.

Nice job! There's something particular about the M4-P and the M4-2: they're the modest, unassuming, self-effacing Leicas that get the job done and then move on to the next assignment. I like them, and yours looks really nice now! 🙂

Well done! - it always warms my heart to see a Leica being brought back to life.

I just love the M4-P - it just gets the work done, that's it and that's that. 🙂

Ok,
Thought you were talking about the red dot in the release lock.

The red leitz logo is part of the m4p in fact is a well made disc of aluminium embossed with the letters.

My mistake! I was thinking of the M4-2, which has no logo on it. Most of the M4-P cameras I see do.
